Summer Camps

Summer Camp Information

Aurum Equestrian is offering 4 one week sessions of horseback summer camps for ages 6 to 12 in Parker, CO. Summer camps will run from 9am to 3pm with the opportunity for before care and after care for an additional charge.  We will learn how to be safe around horses and ponies and care for them as well as how to ride them.  We will do horse themed arts and crafts and unmounted horse shows in addition to horseback riding!  The week will culminate with a mounted demonstration of your child's new riding skills and they can introduce you to the pony they rode all week.

The typical schedule will include an hour of riding before lunch, and an hour after lunch.  We will learn a new topic every day and do some fun games to learn them.  We will have some horse based arts and crafts and we will have some equestrian based physical activity too like jumping kid jumps and making up dressage tests in a kid sized arena!  We will also have a dress up day for one of the ponies where we will get to braid and paint and decorate a pony.  The kids will have the opportunity to help feed the horses lunch as well!  Friday we invite the parents to show up around 1 to see what their kids have been doing.  We will have a riding demonstration and your child can tell you all about their pony for the week!
