On the ground
This is the heart of it: caring for the whole horse — mentally, physically, and emotionally. Our unmounted horsemanship classes, part of our comprehensive equestrian training programs, teach students to 'speak horse' — to read body language, understand how a horse moves, recognize when one is hurting or unwell, and learn hoof care, vet care, and nutrition. Horses are living, sentient beings, and learning to nurture them is ultimately why we all stay in the saddle. Our Lesson Horses
We have carefully curated an exceptional group of lesson horses for our horseback riding lessons at our Parker CO riding school. Each horse has a background as a show horse—many still compete—and all could participate in a CHJA show today, bringing home ribbons. Our school horses are sourced from top show programs across the country, selected for their temperament and versatility to complement our equestrian training programs.
