Meet the lesson horses
Cobalt aka Cobie
Cobalt is our dear sweet haflinger gelding. He teaches many of our beginner horse riding lessons all the way through jumping courses. He is so friendly! He and his best friend Tut like to play hard and take each others blankets off in the winter.. Cobalt is making strides in both the dressage world and jumping world. He is helping Suzannah earn her bronze medal with distinction and qualify for regionals as well.
Dragonfly Saphira aka Rue
Rue is a fantastic large Welsh Pony. She has competed from coast to coast in the pony hunter, jumpers and equitation. Most recently she was a pony jumper for Genevieve and won many big classes. She now teaches our more advanced students in the riding school.
Augustus Gloop aka Auggie
Auggie is a grade medium pony who is worth his weight in gold! He has a long show record in the pony jumpers all over the country. He teaches many of our beginner riding lessons as well and many kids have had their first canter and first jump on him too. He does take time out of the school during the year to continue competing around the country!
Hedwig
Hedwig is coming to us from the western world of reining and trail classes and learning his new roll as an english pony. He has a heart of gold and is quiet and patient with the newest, youngest and most timid of riders. We expect he will be a program favorite and will take many riders to their very first horse show.
Bravado aka Bravo
Bravado was given to us because of the care we provide our lesson horses. His previous owner decided she was too old to ride anymore and wanted to find him the perfect home. Bravo has competed through second level dressage and schooled third level. He is a fanstastic horse to learn advanced flatwork with and he can still teach beginners too. This is Bravado teaching Parts of the Horse horsemanship class
King Tut aka Tut
Tut had a hard start in life and found his way to a kill lot as a yearling. He was rescued, allowed to grow up, and trained. He has subsequently won tricolor ribbons on the local circuit! He teaches our more advanced riders how to jump and all of us how to laugh!
