Frequently Asked Questions

FAQs

Where are you located?

11230 Daley Circle, Parker, CO.  We are 12 minutes from downtown parker and 40 minutes from downtown Denver

The weather is bad, do we still have lessons?

Yes!  We have a large heated indoor arena that stays a balmy 50 degrees all winter long, so even when it is -10 outside we are riding!

Do you offer boarding?

Yes!  Though all horses on the property must be in training with one of our trainers.

Do I have to wear a helmet?

Yes!  This is a non negotiable.  No helmet, no riding

Why cant I just wear tennis shoes?

Oh so many reasons, but the number one reason is it is just not safe.  If you wear tennis shoes you will be riding without stirrups!

What ages do you teach?

6 to 60+!  Ideally we like kids to be at least 6 as they have a long enough attention span, enough coordination, and are big enough to control a horse.  We teach adults too and have a large group of adult riders

Do you offer trail riding?

No.  Sometimes at the end of a lesson we may take people out for a short on to cool down the horses, but we are a riding school and not a trail riding facility.

What disciplines do you teach?

We teach the foundations of hunter/jumper, dressage, and 3 day eventing.  With the foundation we teach, you can take your skills and apply them to having a backyard horse, or pursuing an international competition career!

But I want to ride western!!

If you are a competent English rider, you are a competent western rider.  If you are a competent western rider, you are not a competent English rider, it doesn't work in reverse.  If you learn to ride English and decide to become a western rider, your skills will translate quickly and easily!

Why are lessons so expensive?

Keeping horses is not cheap.  Just feed for one horse costs about 300$ per month, then they need shoes, the vet, a place to live, someone to care for them 365 days of the year, etc...  And we need to pay the lovely people who teach your lessons too!
